Florida Emerald Coast Clean Cities Program

Mr. Cooper is currently a Board member for the group. The Clean Cities Program is part of the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy’s Vehicle Technologies Program within the U.S. Department of  Energy (DOE) and was created by DOE to address  requirements in the Energy Policy Act of 1992. Florida Emerald Coast Clean Cities Coalition mission is to develop and support infrastructure to reduce our dependence on imported/domestic oil, improve the environment by creating a sustainable alternative fuel market through the support and promotion of clean fuels and to promote sustainable economic development opportunities for the region.

Gary Cooper is a seasoned leader with 36 years in developing and managing dealership service centers, body shops, parts departments and fleets.  He has been assisting companies and government in increasing their profitability and maximizing budget dollars.  He is highly experienced in vehicle fuels and their impacts on vehicle systems along with emission reduction and long term vehicle asset management.  Gary is the VP of BG Dealer Services, Inc. and has been with the organization since 1991.

General Info: The U.S. EPA Energy Conservation Action Plan incorporates Energy Conservation, Alternative Fuels, Alternative Energy Strategies, Green Buildings. Both LEED and the Clean Cities Program are part of this overall plan.
