Earth Day Beach Cleanup

"Free to volunteers while supplies last: T-shirt, Soda, Snacks.

Since 1994, Council volunteers have donated their time and effort to Okaloosa Aqualab in the monthly sampling of water quality at 28 sites on Choctawhatchee Bay, the Destin Harbor, the Intracoastal Waterway and the Shoal, Yellow and Blackwater Rivers; with analysis by FDEP. The Council's Coastal Cleanup efforts are sponsored by the Tourist Development Council and Okaloosa County Commission.

Join us at the following beach cleanup locations:

  1. Okaloosa Island - Beasley Park (Hwy 98 East of Brooks Bridge)
  2. Beach Walk East of Surfdweller (Santa Rosa Blvd.)
  3. Henderson Beach State Park (Hwy 98 East of Destin)
  4. Rocky Bayou State Park (Hwy 20 W of Bluewater Bay)
  5. Bluewater Bay (McDonald's on Hwy 20)

April's Earth Day Beach Cleanup is part of an annual community cleanup event organized by the Okaloosa Environmental Council, sponsored by the Tourist Development Council and Okaloosa County Commission; and supported by local businesses.
